With volt, Vontobel has launched the first digital active asset management platform in Switzerland. In developing volt, the investment house was able to draw on Panter’s full-stack software development expertise.

volt Invest enables the customisation of investment portfolios based on a variety of investment themes and strategies that offer great growth potential. These include, for example, “Impact for Good”, “Smart Farming”, “Smart Healthcare” and “Robotics”.
Technical implementation
The mobile application was implemented using Ionic and Angular. Ionic wraps a standard single page application in a container and provides interfaces to the native device functionality. This allows for rapid development in the browser and easy integration with native functionality. The backend technology used was SpringBoot, which together with Java is a proven stack for enterprise applications.
