We are looking for a Senior Rails Software Engineer with immediate effect or by arrangement. As part of our development team, you will work together with your colleagues from design and project management on exciting web projects for our customers.
Level: Senior
Workload: 60-100% Location: Zurich, hybrid

Your tasks

  • As a highly experienced engineer, you and your agile team develop digital solutions using state-of-the-art frameworks
  • You actively participate in the entire software lifecycle – from analysis, architecture, implementation and quality assurance to integration and production support
  • You review requirements and know how to develop them further or question them critically if necessary
  • You use reviews and other suitable measures to ensure that your team’s results meet our high quality standards.
  • You make long-term architectural decisions, taking into account not only technical but also commercial and organizational aspects
  • You encourage and challenge less experienced engineers in your team

What you bring with you

  • You have several years of experience (at least 5 years) in the development of Ruby on Rails applications and good knowledge of SQL databases.
  • You already have experience in the implementation of user interfaces (JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, responsive design) and are proficient in Git or an equivalent versioning system.
  • You are ready to start with us this year.
  • You can communicate very well in both German and English.

You can also score points if you already have experience with front-end frameworks such as React or Angular, have implemented projects in the Google Cloud and/or with Heroku and would like to develop into a Lead Developer or Scrum Master in the medium to long term.

First there is a short interview where you get to know us and we get to know you. We will then clarify your skills in a technical interview before you get to know your future team. If it still suits both parties, we will be happy to send you a contract.
