Timo briefly addressed the existing separation between thinking and acting, which must be overcome. Rebekka then shed light on the current situation at Digitec Galaxus between autonomy and the need for security.

Basic concepts: Agility, transformation, self-organization, responsibility<\/span><\/h3>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”” text_direction=”default”]The pan.talk began with a discussion of basic terms such as agility, transformation, self-organization and responsibility, but without defining them directly. The aim was to promote a common understanding and joint reflection.

Scalability in different company sizes<\/span><\/h3>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”” text_direction=”default”]The central question of the pan.talk was whether self-organization and shared responsibility can work in companies regardless of their size. Rebekka was of the opinion that larger companies tend to have rigid structures and detailed process documentation in order to avoid chaos. According to Timo, it is also important to emphasize that self-organization always forms structures and that these must be visible so that they can be consciously worked with. After all, clear processes help even a one-person company to function better. The role of managers<\/span><\/h3>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”” text_direction=”default”]Another key question was whether managers are still necessary in self-organized structures. The speakers came to the conclusion that managers continue to play an important role, but in a different form. Instead of leading in a directive manner, they should act as coaches and supporters who help the teams to make their own decisions and take responsibility.
